The mission of the Bloomsbury Elementary School Social Worker is to act as a link between the school, home, and community, providing support to students by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs that may be impacting their academic performance, often through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy for necessary resources and services.
A broad spectrum of health services are provided to students:
- Individual Counseling
- Lunch Bunch Sessions
- Peer Mediation
- Social Emotional Learning Curriculum in grades K-3
- Linkage to services and supports outside of the school environment
