¡Hola! My name is Mrs. Parvin, and I am so excited to be your Spanish teacher! This is my 19th year teaching Spanish, and I am thrilled to be sharing my love of the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures with all our learners.
I graduated from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Over the years, I have taught Spanish at both the middle and high school levels in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. While I have loved teaching older students, I am excited about this new adventure with elementary students and all of the energy, curiosity, and fun they bring to the classroom!
When I’m not at school, I love to travel and explore new places, relax at the beach, curl up with a good book, and cheer on my Philadelphia sports teams. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family. I live with my husband, and we have one daughter who lives in North Carolina. She is a registered dietitian and uses Spanish every day at work—which makes this Spanish teacher mom pretty proud!
I believe learning a language should be fun, and you are never too young to start! I look forward to singing, playing, moving, laughing, creating, and learning Spanish together this year. I can’t wait to see what adventures we will have!
¡Vamos a aprender español!
